Low Ratio Adult Handbuilding Level 1 - $300

In this 6 week class Kaitlyn will show the basics of handbuilding for both functional and decorative ceramics. The class will experiment with different decorating styles using patterns, applique embellishments, and underglaze colors and slips to enhance the work. There will be a deeper tutorial in glazing and decorating techniques to enhance patterns and textures on the students work.  No prerequisite. Ages 16 to Adult. Wear washable clothing appropriate for working with clay. One bag of clay included. Please bring an apron or old towel to protect your clothes.

Child & Adult Handbuild (Parent & Me) - $170

A wonderful way to share some special time in this activity with your child or grandchild. The students will learn the basic hand building techniques such as coils and pinch pots. Adults will make their own project.  Cost is per person and materials are included. 6 years to adult.

Low Ratio One Night on the Wheel Workshop - $99

Have you wanted to try making pottery on the wheel? Here is your opportunity to enjoy one evening discovering the art of throwing clay. During this 2 hour workshop you will learn to throw one small pot. After the workshop our technicians will trim and fire your piece and it will be ready for you to pick up in 2 weeks. Come and relax while experiencing the joy of clay. This workshop is open to clients 14 years and older. All materials included. $99 +HST each.

Children 7-12yrs Handbuilding Camp - $173

Summer
1 Week Camp

Spend a week using your creativity working with clay. Children will make several projects that will be ready for pick up once camps are complete at the end of the summer. Instructors are bilingual. All materials included. 7-12yrs.

Please wear a mask when arriving at the facility – participants and staff must remain masked for the duration of the camp. This camp will have social distancing measures in place. All students will have 40 square feet of working area. All students will remain in their designated area during duration of class unless bathroom break is necessary. There will be a maximum of 6 students per class and a 4:1 student to instructor ratio. All participants will have a health screening prior to entrance into facility. Pottery instruction will be done at a distance and all instructors will be wearing proper PPE. All work spaces, tools, and surfaces will be disinfected before and after use.

Please arrive 10 minutes before class starts and 10 minutes before class ends to allow for proper social distancing procedures for drop off and pick up. A parent/caregiver 18 years or older must accompany the participant each day for drop off and pick up. Further communication will be emailed to those who register in the class.

Please note that Aug 4-7 is a 4 day camp for $138.

Low Ratio Teen/Adult Wheel Level 1 - $260

This program is especially fun for adults and teenagers to experience the challenge and joy of the pottery wheel. The basic Level 1 wheel program is covered. Materials included. Ages: 12 to Adult. Please bring an apron or an old towel to protect your clothes.

A very exciting and enjoyable program for children learning basic handbuilding techniques. Students are encouraged to express their own creativity with each piece. Returning students are given more challenging projects and materials are included. 7 to 13 years

Low Ratio Adult Wheel Level 1.5 - $300

This course is aimed at students who have completed Level 1 and wish to advance, but still require more guidance from the instructor for the full 2 1/2 hour class. The class will progress towards more advanced forms including covered forms, bowls, and closed-in forms. One bag of clay included. Prerequisite: Be able to consistently centre and throw a cylinder as high as it is wide. Ages:16 to adult. Please bring an apron or an old towel to protect your clothes.

Low Ratio Adult Wheel Level 1 - $300

This course is an introductory wheel course. Class duration 2.5 hours for 6 consecutive weeks. The student will cover the basic techniques for the beginner. You will first learn the art of centering the clay which will allow you to make different pot shapes. Trimming a foot onto a pot and surface decoration is covered. Recycled clay included. No prerequisite is required. Please bring an apron or old towel to protect your clothes.

Ages: 16 to adult
